It’s about summertime in Philippines! One of the best places to travel during summer is Siargao.
I’ve been there 3 times already and I’ve learned a lot on what to pack for Siargao.

Majority of your time will be spent at the beach so here are beach essentials to protect you from the sun while enjoying yourself.

4. Reduce the use of plastics in Eco-Friendly SIargao with A WATER BOTTLE THAT ALSO KEEPS YOUR DRINKS REFRESHINGLY COLD. You can refill this at any establishment when you’re there.

5. A BEACH READ to have you laughing your butt off. I love this one by Mindy Kaling. It’s like listening to your best friend’s antics.

6. A WATERPROOF CAMERA to record all the fun you’re having whether that be surfing the waves or riding a habal habal (motorbike for hire). This camera is always a staple in my travels.

7. when you’re island hopping, you and your belongings *wiLL* get wet so best to keep your belongings dry with a WATERPROOF DRY BAG.

OUTFITS
The weather is breezy and sunny in Siargao. It’s also very casual there so pack breathable tops & shorts and sundresses. Plus points if you rock the surfer look, like surf tops, denim shorts and slippers.
9. SUNDRESSes are easy to put on and go. Plus they easily double up as a cover up.

10. I love to pack crop tops with denim shorts & slippers for the casual, cute look.

11. To go with your crop tops, high-waist denim shorts naturally go together with it. I also wore these with Siargao surf shirts, tucked into my shorts.

12. a GOOD PAIR OF SLIPPERS to easily remove before you get in the water. Actually In siargao, You can get away with going barefoot. But here’s a pair if you’re not the type.

Swimwear
Depending on what activities you’ll be doing, you’ll need different kinds of swimwear either for surfing or lounging.
13. I love a good Surf-Friendly Bikini that won’t budge while in the water. You definitely won’t be getting any nip slips with this one! (Happened to me too many times with a string bikini)

16.When visit the local boutiques in Siargao, you’ll see Surf-ready Scrunchies everywhere. I loved using them to keep my hair up while surfing. plus they look cute too!

19. A no-brainer. Protect your eyes and skin around your eyes with SUNGLASSES.

20. Since Siargao is laidback, a CAP is perfect to wear as opposed to wide-brimmed sun hats. But that’s the route I go. feel free to bring your sun hats!

21. the oh so trendy Rattan Bag. And for good reason! The materials of this bag are perfect for siargao and holds all the necessities you need.

22. In siargao, you’ll notice that most stores don’t issue plastic bags when you buy from them. This is to reduce the use of plastics on island. So bring a REUSABLE SHOPPING BAG with you. They have especially cute boutiques there so expect to shop while you’re there!

23. Another way of reducing plastics in siargao is that most restaurants give you reusable straws (or sometimes none at all). Here’s a REUSABLE STRAW set for you to bring with you. Case included!

29. I’m a sucker for face oils. THIS ONE IS GOOD FOR HAIR, SKIN AND NAILS SINCE IT’S PACKED WITH ANTI-OXIDANTS. It doubles up as a makeup remover too. I suggest not wearing on your face when you’re under the sun. It’s better to wear it at night TO help renew your skin after being under the sun all day.
