And those are my tips! I know there are plenty more like there so I’d like to know what tips do you have to pack light? Let me know in the comments below!
4 Important Packing Questions
Before I start packing, there are 4 main questions I like to ask myself to give me a better idea of what to pack:
- Where am I going?
- Is the weather hot? Do I need to bring jackets?
- Where am I staying at?
- Can I save space by not bringing shampoo and a hair dryer if I’m staying at a hotel?
- How long will I be there?
- How many outfits can I bring to last this many days?
- What am I going to do?
- What appropriate clothes do I need bring? Can my day outfits double up as my night outfits?
With these questions, it’ll give me an idea of what to bring according to the weather, activities I’ll be doing, what to bring (and not bring) and how many outfits to pack. Now here are my tips!
Use packing cubes
I love packing cubes because they make packing and unpacking faster, efficient plus they save space! Using packing cubes also allow you to pack each outfit together that way it’s easier for you to grab them in one go.
Plan your outfits as you pack them
This allows you to be intentional on the clothes, shoes and accessories as you pack them. I also recommend choosing one key clothing item that you can use in all your outfits. Like only bringing 1 bag or 1 pair of shoes.
Amusement park packing tips:
- Wear gym clothes so that your clothes can dry fast after those wet rides
- Use a small bag so that it can easily fit in the nets that hold your belongings while you ride
- Bring a ziplock bag with you to protect your electronics on a wet ride
WEAR ONE OF YOUR OUTFITS while traveling to YOUR DESTINATION
Even better, wear the bulkiest items on you that way those items don’t take too much space in your bag.
Use travel containers
-Or travel sized versions of your favorite products!
- Transfer your liquids into travel containers like GoTubbs or GoToobs. I love that they don’t leak!
- Sephora also has a travel selection of product favorites!
Use multi-tasking items
It’s a great way to keep your bag light by bringing items that have a double purpose
