I'm Jojo Aquino Lebouef.

I’m a 4’11” island girl who loves to travel— hence my blog name! I had a lot of trouble expressing myself as a kid because I thought I didn’t have a voice worth listening to. One day, I decided that wasn’t true! And since then, I’ve transformed my voice into the blog & business that it is today. Now, I’m sharing with you how to do it too!

Come say hi on Instagram! @travelingpetitegirl

I always thought I've been living a slow life, but I always thought I've been living a slow life, but since having Liam, life is moving reeeaaalll slooow. It's teaching me to go back to looking at life from a child's lens.
They say a woman goes through three stages in life They say a woman goes through three stages in life: the maiden—focused on her own journey, the mother—fully expressing her ability to nurture, and the crone—using a lifetime of wisdom to give back.

Looking back, my maiden years were a time of self-discovery. I was focused on figuring out who I was and the impact I wanted to make in the world. It was a time of growth, and that selfishness was necessary to shape the person I'd become.

Now, as a mother, I’ve entered a new chapter—one that has been an immediate lesson on selflessness and unconditional love.

It’s been 1.5 months since Liam was born, and I feel as though I’ve been reborn alongside him. The way I think, the way I move through the world—it’s all been altered. Everyday routines, like showering, eating, cleaning, or running errands, now feel like relearning a completely new rhythm. And this is on top of navigating the huge learning curve of being a first-time mom.

But with every milestone Liam reaches, I realize I’m hitting milestones too. I’m growing alongside him—figuring out how to adjust and thrive in this new stage of life. Motherhood isn’t just about nurturing a child; it’s about discovering new depths within yourself you didn't realize you were capable of.

My biggest takeaway: Motherhood is not for the fainthearted, and I feel both challenged and grateful for this journey.

Welcome to 2025! 🎉 It’s a new year, a fresh c Welcome to 2025! 🎉 It’s a new year, a fresh chapter, and the perfect moment to dream big. This month’s wallpaper, for my email subscribers, features a simple reminder: “Live freely.”

But what does living freely mean to you?

Here’s a question to ponder: What would you do if you weren’t stopped by your excuses?

Think REALLY hard. If fear, time, or circumstances weren’t in your way, what dream would you chase? Where would you travel to? Let your answers dictate your vision for 2025!

For me, living freely is about saying “yes” to what lights me up—like creating for expression, and carving out moments of self-care amidst the beautiful chaos of motherhood.

Every month, I design calendar wallpapers to not only help you organize your life but also inspire your day! This is a popular request from my followers who wanted to see a glimpse of their calendar in the quickest way possible. I hope you like the simple design.

It's officially been one week since I went into la It's officially been one week since I went into labor. Liam started moving lower and lower into my pelvis—slowly but surely.

Then, labor escalated quickly on the third day. I was on my hands and knees, moaning through waves of back pain. Vivek was always by my side, pressing against my back. I had to shift my mindset from "this is pain" to "this is productive pain." Each contraction was a wave I just had to ride out. With every wave, I was one step closer to meeting Liam.

When Vivek and I finally made our way to the hospital, I was already 8 cm dilated. Time was blurring, and then I was at 9 cm. Then, suddenly, my body started pushing on its own, as if determined to eject Liam into the world. I was wheeled into the delivery room, where a giant mirror was set up in front of me.

With each push, I felt the pain and the burn. With each push, I let out long, drawn-out groans—sounds I had never made before but felt so instinctive and primal. With each push, I kept saying, "I can't do this," but everyone around me assured me I could. And with the mirror, I saw myself and everyone bringing Liam into the world, one push at a time.

The next thing I knew, Liam was on my stomach, and a huge rush of love overwhelmed me. I don’t know how to explain it, but it was as if I was high on love and nothing in the world around me mattered except for Liam, looking at me. I cried and fell in love with him instantly. There was an undeniable connection between us, as if we had been waiting a long time to meet each other. I cried out for Vivek and kissed him. We're a family of three now.

My healthy boy was born on 11/24/24 at 2:43 PM. 7lbs 8oz, 50cm long. He's a fiery Sagittarius and came out so quick, like an erupting volcano 🌋
40 weeks. 10 months. Thousands of kicks, flips, an 40 weeks. 10 months. Thousands of kicks, flips, and hiccups later—here I am. I officially hit my due date yesterday, and now I’m waiting to meet this little soul who’s been growing inside me. 🤰💙

Weeks before I even knew I was pregnant, I had a dream. I was chasing a toddler, my toddler. He was running too fast, and I was out of breath trying to catch him. It felt so vivid, so real. Now, I can’t help but think his soul chose me long before I knew. And here I am, days away from welcoming his soul to this world.

It’s wild to reflect on how much of life is spent waiting. But this wait feels different. It’s not just about patience—it’s filled with anticipation, love, and a quiet trust in allowing things to unfold on their own.

I don’t know exactly when this journey will shift from pregnancy to motherhood, but I’m learning to embrace the stillness, the unknown, and the magic of this in-between moment. Some transitions can’t be rushed—they’re meant to be felt deeply, one breath at a time.
