The wait time for rides at Disneyland and California Adventure can take as long as 2 hours. Here are my top 5 portable & handheld foods to eat while waiting in line because standing and walking around the park for hours can really build an appetite.
5. Pineapple dole whip float
No question! Of course I had to add this to my Top 5. It’s pineapple soft serve ice cream floating in pineapple juice. It’s so light, refreshing and addictive!

4. Ice Cream Churro Sandwich
My goodness. This sandwich is a mouthful. If you love Disneyland churros (who doesn’t?), you’re definitely going to like this sweet treat. The warm, crunchy churro contrasts against the cold, yet melting, vanilla ice cream. It feels like getting the best of both worlds in your mouth. Oh my god, I’m drooling as I type this! I do warn you though, after you’ve had this, you might not want one for a while. It’s sweet and rich and a little finicky to eat (because the ice cream melts all over the place).

3. Minnie Marshmallow Wand
If you’re a sweet tooth, this is the perfect food for you! It’s a marshmallow, dipped in caramel, dipped in milk chocolate, dipped in sugar and then dotted with chocolate candy. Stay away if you have diabetes! They also have this in a variety of different Disney characters.

2. Bacon Mac & Cheese Cone
If you’re in need of something savory and filling, head over to Cars Land for this carbo-loaded meal. It’s mac and cheese inside a bread cone, topped off with chopped bacon. It’s super filling and you can eat this one handed while walking around the park or waiting in line at Radiator Springs Racers.

1. Orange & Vanilla Soft Serve Swirl
My favorite place to walk around in California Adventure is Paradise Pier. You have the water, the pier, the rollercoaster and the ferris wheel to see all at once which makes for a beautiful sight. I walked up to the ice cream counter to get a vanilla and chocolate swirl but they had the orange and vanilla swirl available so I got that instead. WOW. SO. GOOD. I don’t think I can go back to regular soft serve ice cream now. Also, I’m not sure if this flavor is always available but get it when you have the chance! You won’t regret it. #ThatSwirlLife

That’s what’s on my list! I know there are plenty more foods in Disneyland and California Adventure to eat while waiting in line like the Mint Julep drink and the Mickey Beignets from the Mint Julep Bar! What do you guys like to eat? I’d love to know so that I can eat it too!
